Can primary applicant sell property without the consent of the co-applicant?

If the co-applicant is not the co-owner, the co-owner has the right of possession of the whole property under the Sale of Land Act, unless the lease contains clear provisions on the rights of the principal and the co-owner of the property. Hence, in the absence of any legal conditions, the sale of the property needs to be done with the consent of the co-owner.
